Duffy Avoids 'Serious' Songwriting on Upbeat New Album -- Exclusive Video

After her 2008 debut album 'Rockferry' became an international smash hit, Duffy has changed things for her follow-up, 'Endlessly.' As fans can hear in the lead single, 'Well, Well, Well,' the Welsh singer's second full-length features more pop and R&B-influenced songs, thanks in part to her collaborations with songwriter Albert Hammond and hip-hop virtuosos the Roots.

"I was very conscious on this record to explore different sides of myself," Duffy tells Spinner. "Although I get commended on my songwriting skills, I just don't want to be known as a songwriter -- it reminds me of something too serious, too considered. And I'm not serious and considered, so I actually don't know where these songs come from. I wake up one day and I put pen to paper and they kind of happen."
