White Lies Announce Second Album Details

White Lies have announced that their new album will be called 'Ritual' and that it will be released on Jan. 17, 2011. The long-awaited follow-up to 2009's No. 1 album 'To Lose My Life... has been produced by former Depeche Mode colaborator Alan Moulder in London and will be available in a 7-inch single box set as well as vinyl and CD editions.

"The album is a lot about religion and a lot about love and they're two subjects which the idea of ritual fits very nicely into," singer Harry McVeigh radio station XFM. "It seemed to be a theme that was recurring through the whole album when we were thinking about giving it a title."

The album was completed this year at the end of an 18-month world tour in which they have supported Coldplay, Kings of Leon and Muse. Those close to the band have said the record will include many international influences and be much less English-sounding than their debut.
