Aerosmith Hoping to Record 'Old-School' New Album in 2011

"Yeah, we're going to make an album. That would be very special," Kramer tells Spinner, laying on the sarcasm. "I would like to see a record within a year from the Aerosmith boys," he adds with more sincerity." My brothers and I are destined to make another record in the next year or so
"It's going to be an old-school Aerosmith record," Kramer continues. "We're going to do it the old way with the whole band [in the same room] and it should be a good one. We're all anticipating."
So far, Aerosmith have yet to demo any new tracks though. "I'm anxious to get back in the studio and do a record," Kramer says. "We haven't done a record in so long. I'm really looking forward to it. It's a nice project over the winter."
One other thing the band is celebrating is the end of their tour, which was delayed and delayed last year after several injuries and mishaps. "It's good for everybody to be back in the thick of things again," Kramer says. "The band is playing great now, so it's a good time and everything is good." Following the final date in September, the plan was to first take a rest and "do whatever we've got to do individually, whatever that might be. Then we'll all convene to do a record."
With all of the drama, Kramer admits that there were moments in 2009 when he wondered if Aerosmith would make their 40th birthday.
"One of the things that's great about being in this band is that I never know what's going to happen next," he says. "What you see in the mirror, is that really what you're going to get or not? Really, at this point in time, the only thing that's going to stop us is if someone out-and-out dies. Other than that, we've already been through what we've been through and stood the test of time. What else is there?"

Steven Tyler needs to get his crap together! Their last tour RIPPED OFF hundreds of thousands of devoted fans! I love Aerosmith. Seen them several times. We saw them in Dallas last year. Paid $300.00 EACH for 3 tickets. PLUS the 4 hr. drive, hotel/food/gas/4 t-shirts. HE ruined the show! Spent ALOT of time with his BACK to the fans. Joe Perry sang almost as much as Tyler did. ZZ-Top opened for them, their show being MUCH better! He owes the fans from their last tour a HUGE apology because many of the shows that actually took place were sub-standard and SHORT. They only played for about
1 1/2 hrs. total and that included ZZ-TOP coming BACK on stage at the end for a 15 min. long number with Aerosmith. It was clear it was meant to take up time. Tyler stood around shaking a percussion instrument. It sucked. Still love em' but the Dallas show was a rip-off and everyone leaving the show was pissed off about it. Other shows were cancelled leaving fans out ALOT of money and no notice of cancellation. No excuse for any of it.

It's about freakin time!!! I've been saying for quite a number of years that they should go back to their roots and produce a kick-ass, no frills, rock n roll album. They've still got enough stuff left in the tank. Can't wait.
