According to Some Kind of Awesome, the track, which shares its title with the movie, was unearthed last Friday by British DJ Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show. The song will be played during the film's end credits and it finds the band merging its cosmic, overloaded analog synthesizer workouts with the power and precision of a 100-piece orchestra.
The soundtrack for 'Tron: Legacy,' which hits stores and digital retailers on December 7, will mark the first substantial material from Daft Punk since 2005's 'Human After All' and its subsequent tour. While a track list has yet to be officially confirmed, many are speculating that the soundtrack will clock in at a robust 22 songs. The styles of leaked compositions have varied greatly thus far, touching on everything from bombastic orchestral freakouts to futuristic ambient textures.
The movie starring Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund will hit theaters on Dec. 17. Since 'Tron: Legacy' was announced, producers have hinted that Daft Punk will also make a cameo in the film.
