In Their Words: "'Relentless Drag' was one of the first songs I wrote for 'Full Circle.' The inspiration came from the harp sample in the beginning of the track. Kind of a funny story. I was playing drums in a dance hall group in Ann Arbor and we would rehearse at a store called Oz's Music. It's a children's music lessons spot with miniature versions of almost every instrument you can think off. One night I brought a little digital recorder to rehearsal and started sampling myself playing everything in sight. My favorite of them turned out to be from this mini harp. After that I was messing around with the subtractor in [music production software Propellerhead] Reason and came up with that synth patch. The two seemed to fit. The end result had this sort of lagging, dark drag to it, hence 'Relentless Drag.' -- Zachary Saginaw aka Shigeto
