Jane's Addiction Eyeing Early 2011 for New Album Release

The long-awaited fourth studio album from Jane's Addiction could finally be on shelves in early 2011. Guitarist Dave Navarro spoke of band's upcoming recording plans last Thursday at the L.A. premiere of Jamie Kennedy's new Showtime special, 'Uncomfortable.'

"Jane's is doing good," Navarro told PopStop TV. "We're actually writing quite a bit and getting ready to go into the studio in December. [We will] start recording tracks and [will] hopefully have something by early next year."

After returning to action two years ago, the Perry Farrell-fronted band toured with original bassist Eric Avery. When Avery left the band for a second time in late 2009, Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan stepped in only to depart in September 2010. For the follow-up to 2003's 'Strays,' the band is purportedly working with bassist Chris Chaney.
