Oh Land Gets Sucked Into the Florence and the Machine 'Universe' -- Exclusive Video

Oh Land, aka Nanna Fabricius, is spending her time living in Brooklyn, N.Y. wisely. The sweet-voiced electropop singer relocated from Copenhagen, Denmark in January and has since been discovering inspiration in the sounds of the city, as well as playing concerts and checking out other acts when they're in town. Earlier this month, Oh Land found herself immersed and "really impressed" by a performance by Florence Welch, frontwoman of Florence and the Machine, at New York's Terminal 5.

"She's just such a brilliant performer. I just felt completely sucked into the universe and everything that was Florence and the Machine," Oh Land tells Spinner. "That's what affects me when I got to concerts -- when I can feel that person fully."

Oh Land, who just released an EP and is scheduled for a couple shows of her own this week -- a set at Mercury Lounge on Nov. 15 and one at Sound Fix on Nov. 17, both in New York -- later had the opportunity to say hello to Welch backstage. "Meeting her afterward, I almost got a little intimidated," she admits. "I think I blushed because she was so amazing and beautiful [laughs]."
