Writing on the band's official blog, Dead Air Space, guitarist Jonny Greenwood responded to an article which recently appeared in the Italian version of Rolling Stone. Greenwood was quoted as saying the new record included ten songs and that the five-piece would be playing live again soon.
However, the guitarist responded, "I think this Italian writer has, either through over-enthusiasm, or frustration at all my non-committal answers, mistranslated me a little."
He continued, "In fact we haven't quite finished the album -- in the studio at the moment -- nor have we yet considered any touring. The plan is to have no plan until the record is finished... hope that's a little clearer!"
This isn't the first time a band member has been quoted as saying the record is nearly finished. As reported by Spinner back in June, guitarist Ed O'Brien had hoped to complete recording in what he then said would be "a matter of weeks".
