Prepped for quirkiness yet? Then watch Hewitt's superhero alter ego wander a half-animated city to avant-pop in the video premiere of 'Short Order Cooks.' According to Hewitt, the clip was shot "guerrilla-style in the financial district of Boston in the wee hours of the morning."
The NYC-by-way-of-Boston musician has been tinkering with his sound for a while, finally releasing a funky, folky, almost-electronic pop that's hard to qualify but easy to start bopping along to. "We just wanted a video that looked like it came out of a bubblegum vending machine at a cheap pizza parlor in south Boston for two quarters: Got stuck coming out. Had to tilt the machine. Shake it. Enjoy," he says.
And just who are his friends? In this case, Hewitt says it's "Tina, our green Ranger costume-bearing Bosnian beauty. She makes it all come together in front of some shape-shifting graffiti." Check out the video below.
