Win Tickets to See the Raincoats at New York's Museum of Modern Art

Since their formation in the late '70s, the Raincoats have been a source of inspiration for future generations of musicians. The post-punk band, who released a self-titled debut album in 1979, earned the respect of Nirvana, Sonic Youth and more. In the liner notes of Nirvana's 1992 'Incesticide' album, Kurt Cobain even wrote that finding a copy of the Raincoats' first release "made me happier than playing in front of thousands of people each night, rock-god idolization from fans, music industry plankton kissing my a-- and the million dollars I made last year."

Now, the Raincoats are performing at a special event presented by PopRally at New York's Museum of Modern Art. The show, which is in conjunction with two MoMA exhibitions featuring influential female artists, kicks off with a DJ set by Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 8:30PM.

Tickets can be purchased for $23 in advance of the show, but Spinner is giving away a pair to one of our readers.
