Jimi Hendrix's 'All Along the Watchtower' Acoustic Guitar for Sale

If you're the type that believes lightning can be caught in a bottle, and you've got a couple hundred thousand dollars to spare, you may wish to consider purchasing the Epiphone acoustic guitar that Jimi Hendrix used to rearrange his version of Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower.'

According to NME, Hendrix himself bought the guitar -- which will be up for auction next month -- for roughly the equivalent of $24 in U.S. currency. With a new value placed at $190,981, it's still quite a bargain considering the last Hendrix guitar that went to auction -- a famed 1965 Fender Stratocaster which he lit on fire during a 1967 London gig -- sold for nearly half a million dollars. Of course, we have yet to see how high this one goes.

The Daily Record reports that the auction will take place at Bonhams of London on Dec. 15, so you've still got some time to think about it.
