The preliminary hearing on Thursday, Nov. 18 saw Morrison deny that he "repeatedly" kicked and punched alleged victim Craig Cairnie in a Dundee city centre street on Oct. 25.
The bailed musician's trial is now set to begin in February next year, reports STV news.
Despite his court appearance alongside his co-accused friend Bryan Murphy, Morrison still managed to perform with the notoriously badly behaved Scottish four-piece at a gig at Glasgow's Queen Margaret Union the same night.
