Travis' Fran Healy Cancels Shows Due to Undisclosed Situation With Son

Travis frontman Fran Healy has unexpectedly canceled part of his ongoing North American solo tour to address personal matters related to his 4-year-old son. Healy first axed a pair of dates in Canada last week before he abandoned more shows in Austin and Carrboro, N.C. were also abandoned on short notice.

"There were no two ways about it," Healy wrote Friday on his official website. He also assured there would be no further cancellations and his trek to support his solo album, 'Wreckorder,' will resume in Atlanta on Dec. 12.

"Everyone is asking what the personal issue is," Healy said. "Please don't worry, It's not any life or death situation, it's just that I need some time with Clay, my son. He and [my girlfriend] Nora [Kryst] are in New York waiting for me."

"The past week has been the hardest I have had as a parent so I had to do something about it," Healy explained. "Montreal, Quebec, Carrboro and Austin I will make it up to you. Atlanta and Boston will go ahead and also the full band show in New York."
