As Fox 2 News in Detroit reports, relatives say that the Queen of Soul is doing "OK" but that they're very concerned, naturally. The National Enquirer previously reported that Franklin had incurable pancreatic cancer, but so far, nothing has been confirmed.
In November, the 68-year-old Franklin announced that she was canceling all of her concerts through May 2011. After last week's operation, she released a statement saying, "The surgery was highly successful. God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country."
Get well soon, Aretha.

December 09 2010 at 11:05 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAretha, I am so sorry that you are ill, but there is hope, I was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in july 2010, I have a wonderful doctor from md. anderson cancer center in Houston, when I was diagnosed, I thought it was over for me because I lost my mother and uncle from the same cancer, but this doctor that is treating me, wrote the protocol for the treatment that he is giving me for Pancreatic cancer, I have had Pet scans and C-Scans and all of them have been good, my tumor that was on my pancreas is almost gone it shrunk a lot, I am doing fine and still doing my treatments, the treatments don't make me sick I am still able to do all the things that I was doing before, I would love for you to have this information about this doctor, because I believe that with him and lots of prayer you will be alright, God is Good, God Bless You Aretha
