'Imagine' Lyrics: John Lennon's Signature Song Continues to Inspire

It's been almost 40 years since John Lennon penned the lyrics for 'Imagine,' and although it's one of the most influential songs of all time, the world has yet to live up to the late Beatle's dream. War and religion are still among the most divisive issues around the world.
But on the 30th anniversary of Lennon's tragic death, the song is as poignant as ever. New generations of fans are just as deeply affected by the lyrics as anyone who was alive when the song was released. Sadly, we can only imagine what life would be like if Lennon had survived and when his words will indeed come true.
