Gorillaz and Clash Bassist Paul Simonon Did Not Suffer Stroke

Sydney magazine Time Out alarmed fans when it erroneously ran a story that Simonon was in an area hospital Monday with such a condition. Simonon was hospitalized because he didn't feel well, but after doctor's checked him over, he was released and returned to his hotel.
"He was with doctors for a couple of hours," an Aussie concert promoter told Undercover. "The story has been blown out of proportion. He wasn't feeling well, saw the doctor but nothing was wrong."
Upcoming Gorillaz gigs in Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland will go on as planned with Simonon, who is joined in Damon Albarn's band by Clash co-founder Mick Jones.
