Liam Gallagher Claims Beady Eye Will 'Blow People's Heads Off'

Liam Gallagher has never been shy about acknowledging his own talents and making sure that everyone else does too. With his new band, Beady Eye, ready to release their debut album, 'Different Gear, Still Speeding,' in February 2011, the singer is confident that his new project will "blow people's heads off."

As previously reported by Spinner, Beady Eye was formed from the ashes of Oasis and joining Gallagher for the ride are guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, while drummer Chris Sharrock brings up the rear.

While Gallagher admitted that Beady Eye may not stray too far from the formula that made his name, he remained adamant the new band will offer more excitement than his previous group.

He told BBC 6 Music, "I'm not singing any different than I did in Oasis -- I'd like to think I'm singing a bit better than that. It's just rock 'n' roll -- the Beatles and the Stones, you know? I haven't gone dubstep or anything.

"It'll get compared to Oasis but I don't mind. I think we've got a lot of energy that we might have lost in the later days of Oasis."

For Gallagher, it's the prospect of playing intimate venues on Beady Eye's upcoming European tour that excites him the most.

He continued, "Without a doubt, the smaller gigs are where it's at. You on do the big ones for financial reasons but I'm looking forward to big, small, whatever; it'll be great. We're rehearsing at the moment and it's going to blow people's heads off."
