Jesse Ventura Reminisces About Days With the Rolling Stones -- Music Appreciation

Jesse Ventura has one of the most impressively random résumés out there, with past careers in pro wrestling, radio, television and acting. He was even the governor of Minnesota from 1999 through 2003. The public is now finding out about yet another job that Ventura had -- bodyguard for the Rolling Stones. According to WENN, the Stones came to his hometown of Minneapolis in 1978 and 1981, and Ventura kept the rockers safe from harm and even witnessed a true rock 'n' roll practical joke. "Keith [Richards] and Woody [Ron Wood] were in the dressing room and their manager burst in and said, 'The police are here,'" recalled Ventura. "Keith said, 'Wood and I are flushing everything down the toilet,' and 30 seconds later in walks Stewart Copeland and Sting!'" Ventura also stated that Richards is "exceptionally smart" and that his "first proclamation as governor was in February 1999 [was when he] declared it Rolling Stones Day in Minnesota."
