While Axl Rose spent 2010 trying to revive Guns N' Roses' reputation as a live act, the man who wrote their greatest riffs has been on an altogether different path.
Far from rehashing the past, Slash has been embracing new genres and collaborations, using his self-titled debut album to bring together artists as diverse as Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas -- the woman he calls the most exciting female rock singer to emerge for 15 years.
In this exclusive video interview, the guitarist discusses the latest incarnation of his old band, what the future holds for Velvet Revolver and why life on tour is still the life for him -- a good job, given that Slash hits the road to open for Ozzy during the his North American tour in 2011.

1. Slash is a bigger bloater than Axl. 2. Izzy and Axl wrote the best GNR songs 3. A reunion would only be about money

when you find something that really gives you joy money isn't the main goal, it's just a bonus
Axl and GNR also made about 4 times more money in 2010 than Slash did, but you don't want to bring that up.
