Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' Gets Remixed by Jamie XX

To keep building the anticipation for her forthcoming second LP, '21,' Adele has released a remix of the album's smashing first single, 'Rolling in the Deep.'

The track was remixed by fellow Brit Jamie XX, who holds hefty credentials as part of the XX. It carries the cold soul of the song even higher while giving it the beat it somehow always craved, a polyrhythmic undercurrent carrying a tension that swells and swells without a single release.

In December, Adele told Spinner that she's "not really into doing themed videos with dance moves and proper story lines because I'm not very good at it," but if she keeps landing remixes like this one, sooner or later she might not have a choice.

'21' is due out Feb. 22.
