"It was an amazing evening," Plant told Rolling Stone of that memorable December '07 London gig. "The preparations for it were fraught and intense, but the last rehearsal was really, really good, for all that it represented and all that we were trying to capture. But I've gone so far somewhere else that I almost can't relate to it."
"It's a bit of a pain in the pisser to be honest," he continued. "Who cares? I know people care, but think about it from my angle -- soon, I'm going to need help crossing the street."
Aging aside, Plant has relived some of his fond Zeppelin memories recently and flew to Morocco to retrace the steps he took with Page in 1978 when the pair wrote 'Kashmir.' "I wanted to go back and take that road," Plant said. "It just heads all the way down the coast. It was f---ing amazing."

I understand you are worried about your soul, from all your debauchery through the years. This statement you made just makes you look like an ass. It is so disappointing. I know it sucks getting old, just admit it. You really mean to say is your voice isn't capable to sing those songs anymore. Also, you can not relate to your band mates anymore as well. Even though its a pisser, Just be honest. The music, the band, and your fans made you rich and famous. You obviously had no problem then. You'll earn more respect from people and start saving s small piece of your soul.

It is for THESE reasons that Plant should take the time to realize that theirs is one of the last remaining 60's BIG bands that are relevant and ALIVE. The Who duo limp into arenas. Pink Floyd hasn't toured since 1994. And the Stones are, well, the Stones.
One more Zeppelin Tour to appease the hoards of people who want it wouldn't hurt and god forbid maybe they would make some scratch in the interim.
I came 2 days from seeing this 2007 show in O2 and never saw Zeppelin (I had tix to the cancelled tour when his kid died) F**k. I don't know what industry smashing music Plant is doing these days. It isnt in any spotlight that I can find. His Plant/Page days were awesome. I know Plant has little voice left but even that wouldn't stop me from seeing him in his leather pants gyrating to Ramble On. Page is almost dead and/or on borrowed time. The Beatles made the mistake of not doing something before Lennon got killed. Plant can't make the same mistake.
For the love of your fans and the beating heart of your music, I implore you Robert to come out and do 20 date somewhere in the USA. How hard could that be?
I like pizza !!!!

Robert Plant's voice was the soul of the band but it was really the combination of the incredible playing of Jimmy Page, John Bonham, & J.P.J.,together with Robert Plant that made Led Zep the legend they are.
Plant has always put his heart and soul into his music and still does. That has not changed and should be recognized. Weather you listen to him on the first Zep album or with Alison Krause, he puts his heart and soul into all his music.
The world is not the same place it was when 'Communication Breakdown' hit the airwaves nor should we expect Plant to be. Thank you Robert for the endless hours of amazing music and timeless vocals you've given us and continue to give.
I'm very greatfull for all the GREAT bands & singers back then. Without them I'm sure I'd be in Jail or dead.
Back then you could get lost in the music. I loved all the bands, Ac/dc, Ozzy, Red Ryder,Kiss, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath,Dio,Warrent,Cinderella,Bad Company,& Judas Priest, god thats just off the top of my head. There are tons more.
Robert Plant needs to suck it up and stop being selfish.
If Van Halen,AC/DC,and Motley Crue (even with Mick Mars looking like he's going to drop dead) can re-unite why can't Zeppelin and they could do limited dates in a few countries.
Then Plant can sit back in his "flat" somewhere in London and live off the royalties for the remainder of his life.
Lighten Up Plant.
Selfish? So you are of the opinion he owes you something? Sounds to me like you are the one who is selfish. Believe it or not he is a human being and has the right to do what is best for him. Some ego you've got there to decide what he should or should not do. If you listened to Led Zep it was for the amazing music they produced. Be happy with what they did and quit demanding more.

Mick Jagger and Roger Daltry of the Stones and Who respectively are essentially vocalists who rarely play guitar would be 2 and 3 for me. I read somewhere thet when Led Zep was in inception, the scouts amazingly plucked Roger Plant out of a tiny UK village
because he had a great rock look and unimaginable musically ingrained genetic ability. I havve watched hm for so many years and never have seen him miss a beat or corrupt a note, like the Stones, Led Zep plays off each other and always in sync. I have heard Robert interviewed only once, he is noticeably educated and brilliant.
heart,aerosmith,mellencamp,van halen,all great live.
