My Morning Jacket, Michael Franti, Gov't Mule Announced for Mountain Jam 2011

As predicted, Mountain Jam will return to Hunter Mountain in Hunter, N.Y. this summer. The annual music festival presented by Radio Woodstock and working guitarist Warren Haynes (pictured) will expand to include four nights of music, beginning on June 2. As always, Haynes' power outfit Gov't Mule will anchor the fest, and they will be joined this year by additional headliners My Morning Jacket and the Warren Haynes Band. For those keeping score, that means that Haynes -- who tours and performs regularly with a number of active bands -- will headline the festival on two different nights with two different groups.

Additional acts will include Michael Franti & Spearhead (returning to the seven-year festival for their sixth consecutive time), the Avett Brothers, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Dawes, Portugal. The Man, Mavis Staples, Toubab Krewe, North Mississippi Allstars, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and many others.

For the additional night, on Thursday June 2, jazz-rockers Soulive will present their instrumental arrangements of Beatles songs, as they appear on the band's latest release, 'Rubber Soulive.' The festival will also bring back their late-night shows, including a performance by the supergroup 7 Walkers featuring Bill Kruetzman (Grateful Dead) and George Porter Jr. (Meters) as well as a set by late-night dance kings Lotus.
