Phish's Trey Anastasio Announces 'Acoustic & Electric' Winter Tour 2011

Fresh off Phish's sold-out New Year's Run at New York's Madison Square Garden -- during which the band rang in 2011 by flying across the arena in a giant hot dog -- guitarist and mastermind Trey Anastasio has announced a national winter tour with his solo band. The jaunt will launch at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on Feb. 18 and conclude March 5 at the Fox in Oakland, Calif.

While Anastasio has tinkered with the lineup (and even moniker) of his solo band since its inception, this tour will feature the 'Classic TAB' core of Russ Lawton (drums), Tony Markellis (bass) and Ray Paczkowski (keyboards) along with a three-piece horn section led by fan favorite Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet).

Anastasio will open these shows with a complete set of solo acoustic material before plugging in with the full band for an electric second set -- a format which he hasn't done since his first solo outing in 1999.
