In His Words: "'If I Had A Boat' was the first song I wrote that made me want to make an album. I'd written things before that I was proud of, but I could hear this opening the record, I could hear the harmony parts for the intro in my head. The music and the lyrics came at pretty much the same time, which is rare for me, usually I work on both separately. The chorus had been swimming around my head while I was in London, the song changed as I wrote and recorded all the other parts for it, but the core vocal line never changed from the first day I sang it." -- Singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow
