The singer revealed to Xfm that their upcoming LP 'Build A Rocket Boys!' bore a lot in resemblance to their 2001 effort, saying that "there's perhaps some more big positive moments than there are on 'Asleep in the Back,' but other than that vibe-wise it's a lot groovier than anything we've done in the last couple of years."
'Asleep in the Back' debuted in the UK Album Charts at No. 14 and the group's success has snowballed ever since, culminating in 2008's Mercury-winning fourth album 'The Seldom Seen Kid,' and Garvey admitted that they'd not been able to ignore the achievement of that during the sessions for the fifth album.
"To do something self-indulgent and inaccessible would have been a bit churlish. We write music for people to hear and we really enjoy these big show that we're doing now -- we can't wait to get out on the road in March, we couldn't help but bear that in mind with certain songs on the album."
'Build A Rocket Boys!' is released on March 7 in the UK with the band set to commence their biggest-ever UK tour eight days later in Glasgow.
