According to Jambase, Cornell's 'Songbook' tour will kick off April 1 in Austin, Texas and continue to points both east and west until wrapping up in San Diego, Calif. on May 6. In addition to a few choice covers, expect the hard rock singer-songwriter to perform songs from throughout his catalog. That means that Soundgarden, Audioslave and even Temple of the Dog tunes are all fair game.
Cornell likely got the idea for this tour back in Dec. 2009 when he played an intimate show at the famed Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. While none of the venues on the 'Songbook' tour are quite that tiny, there exists a certain intimacy that happens whenever just one guy picks up just one guitar. It's that kind of personal experience that Cornell is aiming for with this outing before, you know, rocking out again with Soundgarden, amps turned to 11.

I posted earlier today and for some reason, it didn't process.
Looking forward to Chris Cornell's Songbook Tour. I'm so glad locations other than California will be able to enjoy this musical treat. Cali folks have had CC to themselves long enough!! :)
