Big Audio Dynamite Announce UK Reunion Tour

Having announced their appearance at this year's Coachella Festival, Mick Jones' post-Clash outfit Big Audio Dynamite have now revealed a UK tour scheduled for March and April. The original line-up of Mick Jones (guitar and vocals), Don Letts (samples and vocals), Leo 'E-Zee Kill' Williams (bass), Dan Donovan (keyboards) and Greg Roberts (drums) haven't played together since 1990.

Fusing rock'n'roll with reggae and nascent hip-hop influences, Big Audio Dynamite released four albums -- 'This is Big Audio Dynamite,' 'No. 10 Upping Street,' 'Tighten Up Vol. 88' and 'Megatop Phoenix' between 1985 and 1990. Their second album saw Jones reunited with former Clash partner Joe Strummer who co-wrote five of the album's songs as well sharing production duties.

As previously reported by Spinner, the reunion was mooted last year but Jones' guitar duties with erstwhile Clash bassist Paul Simonon for Gorillaz prevented the Big Audio Dynamite reunion occurring any earlier.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 9AM GMT on Friday, Jan. 28, priced at £27.50 [$43] except London where the tickets cost £28.50 [$45].
