Matisyahu, 'Live at Stubb's Vol. II (Part I)' -- Video Exclusive

Good news for Matisyahu fans: this week, Spinner will be rolling out exclusive clips from the Hasidic reggae musician's forthcoming live DVD, 'Live at Stubb's Volume II.' The sequel to the live album that helped put Matis on the map in 2005, this return to the famed Austin venue features high-energy performances alongside candid documentary footage.

In the first clip, Matisyahu doesn't shy away from his music's religious themes, sharing the spotlight with his own children for an onstage Jewish ritual. "The vibe is strong and my kids are saying the kabbalistic meditation into the microphones like we practiced all summer on tour together," he tells Spinner. "The words are, 'When it arose in his mind to create the world, he withdrew his light and created a great void and the world dances in the void surrounded by his light.'"

Interspersed with the concert footage are clips of Matisyahu discussing his eclectic musical taste, his first experience with LSD at a Phish concert, and the impact music has had on his life and career. Have a look at the exclusive footage below.
