Her date in Spain's Basque region follows a lucrative set of appearances in Brazil earlier this month -- her first full concerts since 2008. Winehouse garnered positive reviews and avoided the sort of tabloid infamy that has plagued her in recent years, though no new songs were forthcoming, something that may be addressed by the summer.
Coldplay, Crystal Castles and Jack Johnson have also been announced to play the festival in northern Spain that runs June 7-9. The event's official web site states that Winehouse, alongside Coldplay and the Chemical Brothers, will make it their only Spanish dates this year.
Moreover, the singer "will make her long-awaited full comeback performing her new material," the organisers promise. While a mention on Winehouse's own web site is much less expansive, this does follow hints that the follow-up to 2006's hugely successful 'Back in Black' could be nearing completion.
It was reported earlier this week that Winehouse had recorded a duet with another soul star -- Cee Lo Green -- at St Lucia in the Caribbean, where she owns a house. The track, they claim, is set to appear on her third album.
