Followill -- most recently in the news for a public spat with 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy about Kings of Leon's refusal to license their music to the hit show -- has a torn bicep and hasn't recovered fast enough to get back on the skins. Last Friday, the band announced that they're canceling all March tour dates to give Followill time to recover. The quartet had nine dates lined up in Australia and South Africa, and there's no word yet on whether they'll reschedule.
The injury isn't new news: Followill has been talking about it and his rehabilitation since early January. He had just hoped that it wasn't bad enough to keep the Kings off the road. This comes after he came down with a serious bacterial infection and lost his voice during the band's Europe tour in December.
Kings of Leon's next confirmed appearance is April 15 at Coachella, where they'll headline the first night of the sold-out festival.
