Craig Wedren Predicts Super Bowl Winner Based on Solid Reasoning

Like many without emotional ties to either competing team, ex-Shudder to Think frontman Craig Wedren still has an opinion as to who he hopes will win this year's Super Bowl. And, as you'll see below, he has a rather politically sound reason for his pick. It's a reason far more grounded than mere proximity and geography -- but, when asked about his favorite sports team, Wedren still stays true to his Cleveland roots.

Wedren is now a free agent himself, having launched a solo career, following some years of soundtrack work and penning television theme songs ('Reno 911,' 'Stella,' 'The State'). Check out his predictions and thoughts about the big game, below.

What's your favorite sport?

Don't have a favorite, but I have a real soft spot for baseball, even though it's kind of slow and boring.

What is your favorite team of all time?

Cleveland Browns.

What's your favorite childhood sports-related memory?

Taking a bat to the eye when one of the older neighborhood boys was trying to teach me to swing. Getting kicked off the eighth grade football team when Coach Sterritt busted me for sneaking off with Kelly Blackman instead of going to practice.

Favorite thing to eat at any sporting event?

Hot dog/beer combo.

If you could create the perfect football/basketball/baseball team, which players would you choose?
