Duran Duran's John Taylor Is a 'Good Boy' on Valentine's Day

Few people were able to harness the allure and outright sexiness of the music video format as Duran Duran did during MTV's heyday. In any February of those years -- the mid-'80s -- girls around the globe all dreamed about their favorite member of the band becoming their valentine. Those dreams died hard.

With Duran Duran's new resurgence in popularity -- their second second-wind, if you will -- and a marquee slot at this year's Coachella just weeks away, life is looking pretty sweet for the band again. And they're still breaking hearts -- bassist John Taylor doesn't care much for Valentine's Day to begin with, but he did share his plans for this year's holiday with Spinner. Check it out below.

Do you have plans for Valentine's Day? How do you approach it?

I hate Valentine's Day, generally. I usually end up on Rodeo, or Bond Street, or Madison Avenue, in a cold, cold sweat... wanting to dig myself a hole and get in it, not knowing which damn way to turn.

Thankfully my wife Gela, after years of seeing my predicament, gives me very specific instructions. Directions that are easy to follow -- like go here, buy this in this size, bring it home, give it to me. Good boy.
