LCD Soundsystem Blast Ticket Touts on Twitter

LCD Soundsystem have launched a scathing attack on touts selling overpriced tickets for their last ever gig.

The band, who have seemingly been winding down their career -- or their live career, at least -- play their final show together at Madison Square Garden on April 2.

But, as Gigwise reports, touts have apparently already been listing tickets for sale -- some priced at $1,500 (£934) -- and LCD Soundsystem have taken to Twitter to express their outrage.

They label the touts as "parasites" and admit it is "not worth that kind of money to see us."

They said: "1500 for a single ticket? F--- you, scalpers. You are parasites. I HATE you."

"I will try to figure a way out to f--- these f---ers. NO MATTER WHAT WE DO, IT IS NOT WORTH THAT KIND OF MONEY TO SEE US!"

As previously reported, LCD Soundsystem mainman James Murphy admitted in December last year that his band are done playing live -- but might continue to release music. "LCD Soundsystem as a band is not gonna tour anymore after next year. It doesn't mean we won't make an album per se, but the process will be very different. We're done being just a pro rock ensemble," he said.

Ticketmaster is just as bad $20 NBA Ticket turned into $35 after fee's and they charge you to print your own f-ckin tickets

scalpers provide a service, don't avail yourself of their services if you don't want to, don't get why this is anyone's business except the buyers and sellers, why do you care what two people that aren't you choose to do?

congrats for him speaking out against scalpers! Ticketing has gone crazy with scalping. I'm talking about "legitamite" scalpers, like Ticketmaster and the such. It has become almost impossible to pay face value for a ticket anymore. Even if you are able to find the ticket on one of these sites, you will pay AT LEAST $10 in associated fees. I tried to get NFL tickets last year, they were sold out from the team within 10 minutes! How is that possible? I was sent to Ticketmaster, where ALL tickets were priced at twice the face value! This should be illegal. Worst part is, there is no way you can tell me that there are no kickbacks happening, which I believe is actually illegal. If a team is selling tickets for $40, and those same tickets are avail immediately on Ticketmaster for $80, well, you put it together. The average person is being conned everytime they buy a ticket from one of these "brokers".
