Though not present to accept his award, the producer also known as Brian Burton won for his work on Broken Bells' self-titled debut album, which he made with the Shins' James Mercer, his Sparklehorse collaboration 'Dark Night of the Soul,' and the Black Keys' 'Brothers,' which already upset Arcade Fire twice tonight by winning Alternative Album of the Year and best group/duo rock vocal performance for 'Tighten Up' as well as best packaging.
