As UsMagazine.com reports, the 30-year-old Carney got engaged to his girlfriend, Emily Ward, while the couple was in Los Angeles just 24 hours before the music-awards ceremony.
The Black Keys have never been ones to race to the media with details of their personal lives, and Carney's engagement is no exception. He never made an official announcement, and the band's site and even Carney's personal Twitter account have been silent on any news.
At the awards ceremony, the Black Keys hauled in Grammys for Best Alternative Music Album ('Brothers'), Best Duo/Group Rock Vocal Performance ('Tighten Up') and Best Packaging, which went to Carney's brother Michael, the album's designer. In other Keys' news, the rockers will be one of the featured performers at this year's Bonnaroo festival, festival organizers announced Tuesday.

You cannot say "he did" and "right now" or "she did" and "for you" in the same sentence without sounding like a hypocrite.
That being said, the Black Keys' new song "Howlin' for You" is excellent!
I don't know if they deserve a Grammy for Best Alternative Music album, as only two tracks off that album have received a substantial amount of airplay.
