The band will kick off their summer tour in Bethel, N.Y. at the site of the original Woodstock festival. Phish will host their own three days of peace, love and music there during Memorial Day Weekend, beginning May 27. The tour will then continue on throug June, including two-night stands in Holmdel, N.J., Columbia, Md. and the greater Atlanta, Ga. area.
While every Phish show is, arguably, a unique experience unto itself, on June 8 things will get particularly interesting. Phish is scheduled to perform at the Performing Arts Center in Darien, N.Y. that night -- but during the day, the adjacent Darien Lake Theme Park will be open exclusively to ticketholders, granting them free admission. Things could get awfully topsy-turvy.
"Additional summer announcements will be coming," reads a statement on Phish's website. "Following the summer, the band has no touring plans for the remainder of the year."
Looks like they're going big and then going home. Stay tuned for more.
