Directed by Zack Snyder ('300,' 'Watchmen'), the action flick will feature the Beatles' 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and the Stooges' 'Search and Destroy' covered respectively by Dead Weather and Kills singer Alison Mosshart and Skunk Anansie, who also remix Bjork's 'Army of Me.' The soundtrack will also include a mash-up of Queen's 'I Want It All' and 'We Will Rock You,' with Terror Squad rapper Armageddon making an appearance.
The film's cast also gets in on the fun, with star Emily Browning covering the Eurythmics' 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),' the Smiths' 'Asleep' and the Pixies' 'Where Is My Mind?' Carla Gugino and Oscar Isaac also contribute a jazzy rendition of Roxy Music's 'Love Is the Drug.'
For the film, which centers on Browning and a group of girls trying to escape from an asylum, Snyder teamed with music director Marius de Vries and composer Tyler Bates. "Sucker Punch is a film created with multiple levels of reality, so this same layered construct had to be considered and applied when approaching the music," the director said in a statement. "The selection of songs we chose and the various ways in which they were each re-envisioned had to add depth, dimension and meaning to the sequences they exist within."
The soundtrack is due out March 22 from WaterTower Music and the film will hit theaters on March 25. Check out the track list and Skunk Anasie's 'Search and Destroy' below.
