Interpol Replace Another Bassist

Pajo's departure is amicable and isn't even a result of so-called creative differences. It was a simple lifestyle choice -- he wants to be home with his family instead of globetrotting with dudes. "There are no personal, artistic or health reasons," Pajo writes on Interpol's site. "I feel a tremendous amount of love and respect for everyone involved and will genuinely miss them." Pajo goes on to clarify that he's not going to quit music altogether -- he's just not into the idea of taking the show on the road.
Original Interpol bassist Carlos D. departed the group last May... as the result of creative differences. No word on whether or not Truax will be a permanent addition but his post certainly carries a certain risk of spontaneous combustion. Interpol's next show -- and first with their new bassist -- will take place in Hamburg, Germany this Thursday (March 3). Talk about trial by fire...
