Kings of Leon Guitarist Matthew Followill to Become a Father

One of contemporary rock's most famous families is apparently set to gain a new member. According to reports, Matthew Followill -- guitarist with the Kings of Leon -- is set to become a dad later this year.

The axeman and cousin to the band's three Followill brothers is the first of the foursome to procreate, and will welcome his first child with wife Johanna Bennett in around three months time, The Sun says.

Followill married Bennett in November 2009 after dating for two years. The Peterborough native and some-time indie rocker used to go out with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner and shared lyric-writing duties on the group's 2007 single 'Fluorescent Adolescent.'

Bennett is reportedly six months pregnant with her and Followill's first child and the pair have apparently chosen not to find out whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.

The guitarist and his bandmates are currently on a break following the completion of touring duties behind 2010 album 'Come Around Sundown.' They will return to active duty in May with a handful of summer outdoor gigs on the schedule.

The Sun's source says that the other Kings "are just as chuffed [as Followill and Bennett] and are looking forward to meeting the new arrival."
