Beady Eye's Liam Gallagher Slams Radiohead Album

Few bands polarise opinion in quite the way Radiohead do. Indeed, even their own fans are arguing among themselves as to whether their latest album, 'The King of Limbs,' is something one needs to live with for a while or whether it's simply the sound of sequencers falling down the stairs.

So while the debate shows no signs of abating, Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher -- himself no stranger to provoking strong reactions -- has stepped into the fray. However, this being the former Oasis singer, the effect is akin to pouring gasoline on a fire in an attempt to put it out.

Speaking to The Quietus, Gallagher was distinctly unimpressed with Radiohead's eighth album and the track, 'Lotus Flower,' in particular. "I heard that f---ing Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!'" he raged.

He continued, "I like to think that what we do, we do f---ing well. Them writing a song about a f---ing tree? Give me a f---ing break! A thousand year old tree? Go f--- yourself! You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?"

Liam and Noel slamming anything including each other isn't really news anymore. :-

radiohead is and always has been so pretentious. it's good to see somebody else notices it instead of worshipping radiohead as per usual.

who cares what Liam says...Its a terrible record full of pretentious non-music. Radiohead need to step outside and remember how to make enjoyable music.

Right? Beady Eyes sound like they're trying to write a laundry detergent jingle, not real listenable music. Liam and Kanye would be great to see in a room together. Just like watching two beta fish going at it in a small bowl of their own self worth.

What a bunch of rambling nonsense. He hasn't even stated one valid reason why he doesn't like it.

It's rather ironic of Liam Gallagher to slam Radiohead for not being modern enough when he still writes the same songs as he did back in the mid 1990s. Liam Gallagher is a bit of gum on the bottom of Radiohead's shoe.
