In terms of figures, the firm alleges that Prince owes them more than $700,000 in addition to the $125,000 that he already paid them. The firm represented Prince in separate cases in Ireland, California and New York, as well as handling his divorce.
Last week, Prince played three near-capacity shows at the Oracle Arena in Oakland -- concerts which were announced less than a week in advance and which moved an estimated 60,000 tickets -- ranging from around $50 to $250 -- at a brisk pace. You can do the math... but we're guessing the problem isn't that he doesn't have the money.

Now all of a sudden he's back here and sobbing about his money problems. Boo Hoo, he has made more money in his lifetime than any of us could ever see in two lifetimes. I don't feel sorry for him because some of his fortune was spent on dope he was putting in the body God gave him and he doesn't appreciate. Also I don't recognize him as one of us because he left this country for so long. Let him go back to England and cry; maybe they will feel sorry for him but I don't. He could have done some real good with that money instead of financing the dope barons. Considering the dire financial state many of us are in I just cannot bring myself to even care about these rich people who have messed up like that.
