The band had to pull their set at the Californian festival at the last minute after Allan was too incapacitated to perform. At the time "exhaustion and dehydration" were blamed for the no-show but now Allan has told the Sun the real reason his band had to scrap their Coachella set along with a series of US shows.
He said, "It's funny the fancy names people come up with when somebody has an overdose."
While the the 31-year-old didn't specify which substance led to the overdose he did speak of his protracted recovery. He explained, "It was difficult to connect a fork with rice to my mouth. I was flinging half my dinners on the floor. I was no use to nobody. But that's just part of living, whether that scares people or whatever, I don't know."
Glasvegas' second album, 'Euphoric Heartbreak,' is released on April 4.

im not holding your hand anymore
Heart break.
Im not holding your hand, let me go.
why cant you understand
...before you take my heart"
I enjoyed the video, although, he has some gaelic accent(i hope I'm not mistaken)which is difficult to understand in the beginning. Opening up to his peers/fans alike, took a lot of courage. I know from personal experience how difficult it is to open up to the people. I hope we can learn to share and help others in need. I am just learning myself to do the same. God Bless.
In all seriousness, addiction of any kind is no joking matter, I hope the band takes my comments with a grain of salt and just laughs, I am a musicaian as well and realize how fame can go to your head. Growing up in the 70's and 80's we lost many good musicaisns to drugs and this is NO joke. My hope would be that musicians of the new generation would realize what we had been thru and aviod all drugs if you thought they made you more creative. This young man and his band deserve a new chance if their music is good enough, and at least credit for saying that clean and sober is NO joke if you want to make it in the music businass and be secessfull, I hope they understand, my wish is for this singer to just laugh, all healing is thru laugh and and I truely hope my post does that for you and keeps you in our fold when you are just a wedding singer and realize music is your special gift, it is not about fame or money, don't llve for that, and get rid of your guitarist if that does not work. LOL I wish you well who ever you are and be greatful you have this chnce.

Who knows how many lives have been lost to chocolate milk addiction?I only hope he has the courage to turn to Dr. Drew and seek help for this addiction before it overcomes him and robs the world of another musicsl legend and the music that could have been. I've heard there is a new cure that involves taking 10 red M&M's a day and obstaining from all dairy products while slowly weening the paitents off the M&M's but it IS painfull and results vary by who you ask, I fear we can only hope for the best at this time. The real question here is, could Glasvegas go on without their front man? We wait on baited breath for the final outcome and can only hope their music will live on no matter which it goes!
