Blondie, Leftfield, Mystery Jets and More For Secret Garden Party 2011

Blondie, Mystery Jets, I Am Kloot, Leftfield and the legendary Martha Reeves and the Vandellas have been announced as playing this year's Secret Garden Party festival.

They're just some of the main acts revealed so far playing the four-day event's 12 stages in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside near Huntingdon, with more to be announced.

Other highlights set for the boutique bash include Tribes, James, Smoke Fairies, the Whip, Dansette Junior, Joanna and the Wolf, plus DJ sets from Dub Pistols and Nero.

The action takes place from Thursday, July 21 to Sunday, July 24 at Abbots Ripton, England with the artistic theme this year of 'Origins and Frontiers.'

Last year's event, which has previously played host to the likes of Lily Allen, Grace Jones, the XX and Jarvis Cocker, featured Gorillaz Soundsystem, Marina and the Diamonds and Mercury Rev.

Now in its eighth year, SGP features live theatre, dance classes, film, scientific debates, comedy, events for children, several free workshops and a lot of general silliness as frequently witnessed by Spinner over previous years.

As ever, there will be no corporate branding, just a unique, fun and friendly atmosphere with a reputation for breaking new bands long before more commercial events.

Tickets are on sale now for £155 [$251] including camping, parking and a programme.
