Evidence Mounts for a Reunion by the Darkness

The first evidence lies in the registration details for the domain theactualdarkness.com, which shows their management company Mythophonic registering the domain on Feb. 18.
The page also affiliates to Music Glue, an online music marketing company who are hosting a holding page for the band. A representative confirmed the authenticity of the page, and told Spinner, "You can't make any old page [on Music Glue]. They have to be official."
Further clues on twitter suggest the authenticity of the reunion. Singer and guitarist Justin Hawkins follows the account @darknessactual, which in turn follows Hawkins and a team member from Mythophonic.
The frontman is usually quick to debunk online imposters, but seems curiously quiet on the subject of a Darkness reunion. Perhaps this recent tweet saying, "It's frustrating for me too!" hints at his willingness to tell the news despite any potential non-disclosure agreements.
The band split in 2006, and members went on to start Hot Leg and Stone Gods. Both bands have been notably quiet, with the most recent news from either bands being posted in 2009.
With their cash cow back in flow, it looks likely the band will be back in force in 2011. Keep an eye on those summer festival announcements.

It'll be interesting to see which line-up reforms; the 'classic' version with Frankie, or his replacement Richie Edwards? Will Ed the drummer be back? He left Stone Gods after one album, so who knows if they all still get on. I'm on the fence about this; to be honest, I didn't think Hot Leg or Stone Gods had reached their full potential yet, and would've liked second albums from both bands.
