'Suck It And See' is the highly-anticipated followup to their 2009 effort 'Humbug', and is the result of the band returning to long-term collaborator James Ford, who produced their first two albums. Ford also contributed to 'Humbug,' where the production was led by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.
According to the NME, the album was recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, where the band are seen in their video for 'Brick by Brick.' During their stay in LA, The Sun reported on the band spending £3m ($4.8m) on rent for a lavish Hollywood pad, where they allegedly rejected a six-figure offer to play a garden party for a neighbour.
The album will be released on June 6, hot on the heels of their US tour, and right before hometown gigs at the Sheffield Don Valley Bowl on June 10 and 11.
The tracklist for the album is:
'She's Thunderstorms'
'Black Treacle'
'Brick By Brick'
'The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala'
'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair'
'Library Pictures'
'All My Own Stunts'
'Reckless Serenade'
'Piledriver Waltz'
'Love Is a Laserquest'
'Suck It and See'
'That's Where You're Wrong'
