"Don't believe everything you read. As it turns out, I WON'T be working on (acting or scoring) ALVH after all," Reznor wrote on Nine Inch Nails' forum on Thursday. "There's no juicy story here, it's just that when the news mysteriously leaked out about my involvement I hadn't made up my mind completely, because various aspects of the project were changing. I felt the need to say something earlier this week because my inbox was filling up with speculation, and at that moment I thought I would be doing it. Confused yet? Apparently I am."
While he isn't working on the film, he had some kind words for the cast and crew of the supernatural movie. "Bottom line, I wish them the best with the film and I'm sure it will still be great," he said.
Although vampires aren't in Reznor's future, he did announce that he is still hard at work with the 'Year Zero' miniseries that is set to premiere on HBO, as Spinner previously reported. "Also, in all the excitement of the last note I forgot to mention we're still fully engaged with the 'Year Zero' miniseries, writing away," he said.
On top of 'Year Zero,' Reznor will reteam with Atticus Ross once again to score David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.'
UPDATE: According to Hollywood Reporter, the 'Year Zero' script will be wrote by Jim Uhls, the screenwriter who adapted the cult novel 'Fight Club' for a 1999 movie.
