"My outlook on the world has changed a lot," he tells Spinner, referencing that crazy year when the NME declared the band: "Probably the best new band in the world." "I'm still a ball of rage, but I've mellowed out significantly, and I've kind of accepted that the world is going to hell."
Finding hope in the face of destruction is a theme that resonates heavily on the group's new record. What do we do? Dream harder."
"That's what ['Degeneration Street'] is all about," he continues. "Our new album is basically about the precious time that's left on this decrepit ball of s---. What are you doing with it?"
