Chappo Reveals Recording Process of New LP at SXSW -- Exclusive Video

Chappo -- fronted by Alex Chappo on vocals and guitar, Chris Olson on vocals and keyboards, Dave Feddock on guitar and Zac Colwell on production and drums -- gave SXSW attendees a taste of their unique blend of psych-pop during their performance this week in Austin, Texas. The New York City-based band are gearing up for the release of their debut effort, which fans got somewhat of a taste for as the foursome played a mix of tunes.

While Chappo stopped by our SXSW studio, the band revealed some insight into the recording process of their forthcoming effort. "Well, we spent a couple weeks in a little kinda cabin-y studio in Vermont, recording 10 new songs, and just kind of taking in all the snow and the emptiness of Vermont... and relaxing away from New York City," Alex explained.
