Civil Wars Praise Taylor Swift, Aim for Arena Shows -- Exclusive Video

The Civil Wars are known for their amazing live show and carefully crafted indie-folk songs, but along the way to their recent rise to fame they had a little help from some famous peers. The duo sat down with Spinner at SXSW to discuss how they met and to show some love for Taylor Swift.

"We met in Nashville, Tenn.," John Paul White says. "We both wrote songs professionally, along with having solo careers before this and we ended up in a blind-date, co-write, so to speak, where they had about 25 writers in one spot. They drew straws and we ended up in a room together, knowing nothing about each other and it instantly clicked and we couldn't stop it."
