New Bruce Springsteen Solo Album Could Be on the Way, Says Steven Van Zandt

A new Bruce Springsteen solo album could be in the pipeline according to E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt. Van Zandt believes the singer could release the follow-up to his last solo effort, 2006's 'We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions,' before reconvening the E Street Band.

Speaking to Philadelphia radio station WMGK (via Gigwise), Van Zandt said, "You know Bruce -- he's always got an album in his pocket, he's always writing something. I don't know this for a fact, but I expect him to possibly put something out that's more of a solo nature, before we get back together. Only because he's just so prolific, still, after all these years."

The guitarist concluded, "He's still just a terrific songwriter and writes all the time. I would expect him starting to have a backlog of songs, just in terms of the time that has passed."

Springsteen's last release was 'The Promise,' which featured previously unheard material taken from sessions for 1978's 'Darkness on the Edge of Town' album.

Bruce owes me 160.00 for the money I wasted seeing him in Chea stadium a few years back. Was on stage for an hour and a half but keeped thanking us for comming and hardly played. Found out later he had just got off a plane a few hours before after taking his son to Space camp and was tired. Should have returned everyons money. Not the Bruce we grew up with and loved.

I liked maybe one or two of his songs other than that he is a drop out who never helped anyone at all on anything at all in music industry other than Bruce and if not for help from the great Roy Orbinson he would be a nothing himself,His voice I compare to Taylor Swift meaning as far as talent singing it is limited betwenn none and very little.

Springsteen sings just about as good as Taylor Swift, and that ain't very good.

Bruce is a genius. Here are the lyrics to the new song I just wrote called "COLORS": If I had a brush to paint the entire world I'd paint it in colors that remind me of you like a Van Gogh hughe in a sensitive blue shows me your impressions in perfect progressions like a wine made of rainbows and you. Dream colors through windows in a glass from a blade with a drop of dew dusted bluegrass parade keeps spinning away and the flowers they say that people never change till they meet you and like a rose in a protracted pose it's true. Yeah, it's true....by Alfred-
